About Dr. Lombardo

Pain Management Specialist Doctor in Ventura, CA

Dr. Leo Lombardo is dual board certified anesthesiologist and pain management doctor.  He completed his pain management fellowship training at the University of California, San Diego, an American Pain Society Center of Excellence.  He specializes in advanced interventional pain management, multidisciplinary approaches to difficult chronic pain, and the diagnosis of uncommon pain syndromes.  His expertise includes the newest techniques in ultrasound-guided therapeutics and spinal cord stimulation.  He believes in coupling modern medical technology with old-fashioned care, taking the time to personally listen to concerns, conduct a thorough physical evaluation, and tailor a personalized treatment plan for every patient.

He holds two degrees from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.  He attended the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine as a Dean’s Scholar and was elected by his peers to the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism Honor Society for his commitment to the compassionate practice of medicine.  He remained at UCSD to complete residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Pain Medicine.  He is a member of several national pain specialty societies and remains at the forefront of innovations in this rapidly advancing field.

Dr. Lombardo lives in Ventura with his wife Natasha and his son Lucian.  In his free time he enjoys cooking, skiing, and sailing.  He is fluent in Japanese.
