Advanced Non-Surgical Treatments for Pain
The focus of Ventura Pain and Spine Physicians is the non-surgical treatment of back pain, sciatica, neck pain, and chronic pain. Dr. Leo Lombardo is a dual-board-certified anesthesiologist and pain physician who offers alternatives to surgery for patients in Ventura County with painful spine problems and other difficult painful issues.
Common interventions include epidural injections, diagnostic spinal injections (medial branch blocks, selective nerve root blocks), radiofrequency facet neurotomy (radiofrequency ablation), and image-guided joint injections and nerve blocks.
Back and neck pain can be debilitating. We look forward to meeting you and finding individualized solutions that will relieve your pain and restore your function and enjoyment of life.
Diagnosis begins with a relaxed and comprehensive discussion of the history of your painful problem. A thorough physical examination will help to differentiate between common and uncommon causes of pain. In some cases, diagnostic imaging or procedures are used to confirm the origin of your pain
Once the source of pain is found, treatment can be directed to the source. Different pain generators respond to different treatments. Dr. Lombardo will recommend a treatment that is best suited to your individual situation.
